Each year Daugherty Auction and Real Estate Services, Inc. is proud to give back to the community by sponsoring, Children and Families of Iowa. In 2007 we assisted CFI in making two fund raisers a resounding success.

Little Houses, Big Dreams was able to raise over $70,000 through live auctions of custom built playhouses at the Jordan Creek Town Center. The event was hosted by Principal Bank, and combined the talents of eight builders with the generosity of hundreds of attendees.

Tango on the Terrace provided dancing and fun for the over 250 people in attendance. The event was held at the State Historical Building and raised over $145,000 for the Family Violence Center through admissions and both a live and silent auction.

It is a vital part of our business at Daugherty Auction and Real Estate Services, Inc. to give back to the community of Des Moines. Auctions and events like Tango on the Terrace and Little Houses, Big Dreams are essential to the well being of Iowa’s families in need.

Society of Land Surveyors of Iowa The Iowa Professional Surveyors Foundation was established to provide financial assistance to students who are studying surveying or related fields. The foundation is supported by SLSI.

March 2008, Kelly Daugherty was awarded the Rud Lubsen Excellence Award for auction services provided to raise money for scholarships.
